xNovel - classic adult novels for free
Wow - this is my new favorite site! xNovel is an ever-growing archive of the golden age of pulp novels. The stuff that I hid in the coal bin or under my mattress during my formative years. This site is all free, making it a labor of love for the owner. Those dirty paperback books - from now-defunct publishing houses - from the 60's to the 80's are captured here in full. In many cases this is even including the original cover art. You can read it online or you can download in zipped text files to enjoy at your leisure. At time of review they have over 700 titles, searchable by author, by series, and so forth. They actively solicit help from folks of similar tastes to obtain, proofread, scan, and otherwise help in adding to the collection. Their links page is a great list of similarly minded sites. It's a simple little site with a simple little plan, and I love it. Two thumbs up. - Peter
